Christian's first MLB game

Monday Christian got to go to his first MLB game with his daddy. Dustin was lucky enough to score some tickets at work and so he decided that Christan was going to be his date. The game was between the Anaheim Angels and the Detroit Tigers. Let's just say the Angels didn't do so well, but Christian didn't know the difference and had a fun time. They only stayed for a a few innings, but it was just perfect for them both.

They brought Chloe back a famous rally monkey and as you can see she just loved it.

A funny story...so we got the dates wrong on the tickets and a week earlier the boys got all ready and headed to the game only to realize the game was the following week. Don't feel too bad because they went to Disneyland for a bit instead. Thank goodness our passes were good again starting that day. :)

Here are the pics from the first attempt. :)

Christian's birthday

So Thursday was Christian's 4Th birthday, but we started the celebration on Wednesday.

Christian got his presents from Auntie Michelle, Uncle Jim and his cousins a day early so he was very excited.
Chloe was not too happy that it wasn't her birthday.
After Dustin got home from work on Wednesday we headed out to Disneyland. Our passes were good again this week so it was perfect timing. We spent the evening there and closed the park. We hadn't done this in quite a while. We watched the Fantasmic show for the first time and Christian loved it. Chloe tried her hardest, but fell asleep about 5 minutes into it. We stayed the night at a local hotel and then went back the following days for a few more hours on his birthday. This year at Disneyland you get in free on your birthday. We already have passes so you have the option of a gift card in the amount of the daily admission price. This was perfect for Christian because he got to pick out some birthday gifts.

We came home and after Christian finally woke up we had a little celebration. Dustin couldn't decide which cake he should get so he got two and it was just perfect. :)

Christian is very into fire fighter things right now so he was excited about this :)And this was from Chloe

Happy 4th birthday Christian

Dear Christian,

Four years ago today we were blessed to have you join our family. What a wonderful addition you are! This past year you have grown and blossomed so much from a little boy into big boy. You have really come out of your shy shell and have become pretty outgoing. You talk so well now and the only negative about that is that your most used tone is a very loud one. :) You have such a sweet and giving spirit and that is one of our favorites things about you. You are so good to Chloe, most all the time, and you also have begun to look out for her and she just adores you. You are a great big brother! You have the most beautiful big eyes and a laugh that can light up a room. Your deep belly laugh is music to our ears. Thank you for being such a sweet boy! We love you so much and are so blessed to have you as a son!! Happy birthday!!

Love,
Mom

4 things that you may not know about Christian:

1. He LOVES warm chocolate milk or "hot milk" as he calls it. He likes you to warm up his chocolate milk and we truly believe that this is what keeps him alive since he hardly eats anything.

2. He is a little bit obsessive compulsive. Mostly with things that are part of routine like the towel he wants to use after bath time.

3. He still loves most anything to do with trains.

4. He loves to dance along with the TV. He has favorite theme songs that he dances too as well as a few shows that have dancing on them that he really enjoys.

He's a BIG boy now!!!

Yep, that's right...Christian is officially potty trained now!!! WooHoo!!

We had attempted it a few times before, but he just wasn't ready. Well, mommy was more than ready and so the day after we got home from our Utah trip the diaper wearing was O-V-E-R! We headed to the store and bought a timer, stickers, candy and a special train.

The timer was set for every 30 minutes and so the fun began. Really, I think this was more work and tiring for mom and dad than for him.

We made the potty chart and made going potty a fun game.

Going #2 in the potty was a bit of an issue as it is with most kids. He really wanted to play with his special train, but not until the goal was reached. As you can see he did it! :)

We are still going strong with the sticker chart and still working on the potty training at night, but we are in the home stretch. Christian turns 4 on Thursday and we will be at Disneyland and he will not be wearing pull-ups so this will be the true test. I'm sure he will do fine!

As you can see the kids went a little crazy with the stickers!! :)

Chloe also liked the potty training, but she just isn't quite ready yet. We still help her when she wants to use the big potty and I don't think it will be too long before she is ready to really give it a try.

Oh so cute!!!

Most of you know that I don't just have the standard strap on my camera. I have a way cute one that I am totally in love with!!

Well a while back I was shopping and spotted this dress. I knew right away I had to get it for Chloe.

Oh how the small things make me SO happy!!! :)
