Happy New Year!

Time to say goodbye to 2010 and hello to 2011. I'm so ready for it!!!! I love the feelings that a new year brings. Dustin had to work a little later this year so the kids and I hit the dollar store to get a few supplies to make the evening fun.

We celebrated at 9pm our time with the East coast. :) None of us were going to make it till midnight. The kids had a blast blowing their horns and spraying the silly string. They really had no idea what "New Years" actually was, but had fun none the less.

Happy New Year and welcome 2011!!!

Not in my hair!!!Get em' daddy!!!

Christmas Day

Christmas day was a relaxing one. We watched the kids open their gifts from Santa and family, watched TV, napped, relaxed and then went to dinner at Erik and Marci's house. I took my camera, but didn't take any pictures at the dinner so my only pictures from the day are of the kids opening their gifts. Better luck next year for a Christmas family photo!

Christian was in charge of the Christmas countdown blocks!Chloe showing us all how to empty out a stocking properly!Time for daddy's help!

Christmas Eve- 2010

It's tradition to get together Christmas Eve with the Peterson gang for our annual dinner of pizza and root beer floats. YUM!! We also had a talent show (if you will).

Chloe danced...
and Christian sang Jingle Bells, twice. We were so proud of them!!
They really enjoyed Uncle Andy's song because they were named in it. :)
Ryan wrote and read his annual Christmas letter of the years events. This is a highlight every year.
Mia and Emma did a magic show and dad read "Twas the Night Before Christmas." Then it was time for the Nativity Story. We had a few adjustments this year since our cast shrank with cousins moving away.

Christian and Chloe got to play Mary and Joseph.

Mary taking a break! :)
Chloe takes her role very seriously. They did so good! Then it was time for presents. The kids loved what they got from their cousin's.Then we visited a bit more and headed home to prepare for Santa's arrival. We sprinkled the reindeer food on the lawn that Christian had gotten at school and Christian got Santa's snack ready and picked the perfect spot.I have to admit that Christian had a hard time falling asleep this night! ;)

a message from Santa

This year I saw that a lot of my friends were having a customized message sent to their little ones from Santa. I checked it out and quickly decided that I needed to have one sent to Christian and Chloe. This was so neat! He knew their personal information from throughout the year (with a little help from mom)and told them to keep being good! I'm so grateful that Dustin also thought to videotape it because the pictures don't do the moment justice.
