take a hike

Last Saturday morning we decided to go on a little family hike. It had been raining so it was nice to be able to get out for a bit. We took a short drive to Loma Linda (a neighboring city)and hiked the hills for a little while. We all had fun and the kids were in heaven. We think we will make this a regular activity! :)

There was lots of rock throwing and stick finding along the way.Christian being rescued by Dad after he realized we were right in telling him the hill was too steep!

Valentine's Day

Started off with some yummy doughnuts from Krispy Kreme (thanks to Letti for the idea). The kids were fans of this surprise!
Chloe's pickChristian's pickThen the kids got a little something special from us. This was something I remember as a child that my mom did for me so I want to carry on that sweet tradition with my kids.Christian got a Batman and Joker action figure, froggy animal and some candy.Chloe got a Disney princess camera, doggy toy and some candy. But the best part of Valentine's day by far was this...Talk about yummy!!! Dustin brought this home on Friday and there was also a balloon attached, but the kids claimed that right away. I've never had anything from Edible Arrangements before and let me tell you I hope it won't be my last. :)

battle wounds

This is what happens when daddy and Christian play football in the house. Poor Christian learned fast how to run AND look where he's going while attempting to catch the ball.

Really the pics don't do the injury justice. It was huge and many colors for about 2 weeks. :(

rainy days

We've had a lot of rain lately and that's not common in our neck of the woods so I decided to get a little ghetto and let the kids go crazy. Chloe has a hard enough time staying out of tiny puddles on any given day so she was in heaven after this storm!!

Mid-jump or walking on water?? :)
These boots were her new fav thing and hardly ever came off. Just don't tell her that they are still too big and she wears them on the wrong feet. :)She loves her chocolate cake just like her big brother!Constant rain for a week means lots of time in the house and that means a little extra TV watching. And new ways to entertain ourselves
