the girls bathroom

Last Wednesday Christian had his first trip to the principals office. Him and another boy (Corey) had gone into the girls bathroom. They were taken to the office and questioned. Christian finally fessed up and was let back out to play, his friend still refused.

I had a feeling while talking to Christian that it wasn't as serious as it was made out to be. I don't even think that any adults saw the boys in there. He remains strong that they didn't go in the bathroom, but just peeked inside. We believe him! Turns out they were playing tag with some girls and the girls had also gone in the boys bathroom.

Really, I think that the whole situation was pretty funny!

We did have the talk about following the rules and not doing what other kids do. I also told him that if he didn't do something to never admit otherwise. We will support him. He is a good kid and that's the bottom line! 

a little more fun....

The kids loved the little pool at Mammy's so much that we got one for our house. The kids thought I was the coolest mom ever for doing so, don't tell them otherwise. ;) I'm a big spender like that!!



summer fun

The kids had a lot of fun playing in Mammy and Grandpa's backyard this summer. And it was even better that they got to spend a good amount of time with their cousins.

Man they sure play hard!! 



I thought it was so cute that my kids were actually pushing someone on the swings.



back to school

Christian started 1st grade today and he was very excited. Last year there were many tears from him (and I) at the start of the school year, but this year they were replaced with smiles. It helps that now he knows what to expect and has friends. Also, that he loves his school. He is in Mrs. Dryden's class this year and we hope it's gonna be great!!!

Happy Anniversary to us~ 8 years

Dustin and I also celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary in July (the 19th). We decided to head to Vegas for a quick overnight trip. We were in great need of one. The kids stayed with mammy and grandpa and I have to say that they were not happy to see us return. So happy they love staying the night!

We stayed at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, went and saw Phantom of the Opera, ate way too much and took in some sites. It was a lot of fun and we need to do it more often. ;)
