time to celebrate

A certain little guy turns 3 tomorrow and I just can't believe it. We are off to start celebrating a little early...be back tomorrow. Can you guess where we're going?! :)

sweet Leilani is right

Just as sweet as they get...that is all I can say about our newest niece. Dustin and I had the chance to go and visit with the new parents on Sunday and also took advantage of our shot at getting some pictures of the new family. At first little Leilani wasn't too happy about her modeling debut, but she soon warmed up to the idea.

Is anyone else watching the games this summer? I sure hope so...the athletes are AMAZING to watch. Dustin and I love to watch them together and it's fun when we have a different favorite that goes head to head. We really don't care in the end as long as USA comes out the winner. :)

So these have been some of our favorite events/people to watch this year.

All I can say is "WOW!"

Michael Phelps is a machine and so fun to watch. He has had me on the edge of my seat a few times now. I love it when the competition talks trash and fuels his fire to make history in the water.

And the women's beach volley ball team...so good. If I saw one of those spikes from Kerri Walsh coming towards me I think I would just run the other way.

And what can I say about the women's gymnastics team that we aren't all thinking already. Shawn and Nastia are awesome! And seriously the Chinese team really does need to be investigated because a few of those girls don't look a day over 10 years old and I doubt that they are.

So if you haven't been watching then tune in...you have a few days left. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Ryan and HIS family

Meet Christian's buddy and ours too...Ryan. We had such a fun time with him and his family doing these pictures even though I think the humidity almost killed us. Even Dustin and the kids came along and helped me out. Ryan and Christian had so much fun that I don't think that they even noticed the camera too much.

FINALLY...I am starting to feel alive again. This cold really kicked my butt this time. I don't remember the last time I felt this bad. I felt my body fighting something last week and finally it got me on Saturday. Christian had it briefly also, but seemed to bounce back rather quickly. Chloe is congested, but hopefully that's as bad as she gets.

It was one of the colds that makes you feel as if you are in a fog ALL the time. The pressure and pain in my head was so bad it felt like my head was in a vice grip or something. Even my teeth hurt! :) And my nose was like a faucet that wouldn't shut off, but there seemed to be no point to blow it cause it really was no relief. I was so tired and couldn't keep my eyes open (literally), but then I couldn't sleep cause I was in so much pain and I couldn't breath. I know this was a nice mental picture for you, but you need the hard facts. :)

I have to give a lot of credit to my awesome hubby for the past few days. I was seriously good for nothing and he held the fort down and he had no choice but too. He got like no sleep and still kept his obligations to those outside our home. He's the man!!

Yes, I am S-I-C-K!!! Going on my 3rd hard day now. Pray I get better quick...my family needs me. :)
