This afternoon I noticed that Chloe had a little bit of blood coming from her mouth. After further investigation I saw that her top tooth had finally broken through and caused it to bleed. Not only that, but it looked almost like a blood blister since it was all red and purple(gross I know). Is this normal? Could it be infected? This never happened with Christian. Good news is it doesn't seem to bother her. Poor Chloe!!

you know, i wouldn't worry about it too much. most stuff with kids is "normal". they all go thru things at different times and differently. the worst part is over for her if the tooth has broken thru. poor little ones. annabelle had 4 teeth break thru in the last 2 weeks! ouch!
I think it's probably fine too. I would just keep an eye on it. I hated the teething stage. I was glad when that was over.
juliette had the same thing happen to her!!!! i called her dentist and they said that is is a bruise when it looks all purple like that...because the tooth bruises the gums on its way out. OUCH!!! they said it was no cause for worry.
Poor little girl! At least she's not bothered by it though.
...Weston is still a toothless little gummer!...I fear he's going to get like 5 teeth all at once when they do finally come in! (yikes)
Thanks for all the great advice and info. It actually looks a lot better today. :)
