Happy 4th of July

What fun day we had!! And I really mean it! We woke up early and got ready with every intention of going to our Church pancake breakfast and flag raising. Just as we were getting ready to head out Dustin asks me if I wanted to go to a REAL breakfast instead? Umm...yeah! So off to breakfast we went.

After breakfast we stopped by the store to get a few things that we needed for the days events. Then it was home for a little bit to see if the kids would nap. Neither were interested, I think they knew what the day had in store for them. Poor Dustin didn't get he nap either and man did he want one. :( So off to Mammy and Grandpa Peterson's for some food and fun. Most of the kids were focused on the pools that were set up out back. Christian wanted his swim suit on, but I was convinced that he wasn't going to get in the water. He usually changes his mind...not this time. That kid was a fish! He had a blast with the GIRLS in the pool. He just loves playing with Mia and Emma and even little Savannah was all about the water yesterday. All Kristin and Monty's boys are down for the week and it was so much fun to see all the cousins playing together. For the first time I think that little Christian was actually enjoying himself with the bigger kids and fitting right in. It was a blast to watch!

Then we were off to our house again to get ready for the fire woks that night. We came home ad relaxed for a bit then got the snacks and toys ready for night. We decided not to buy fire works this year, but rather just go watch them. So we were off to Yucaipa to watch the show. We were a little worried about how Christian would do because he has yet to let us watch them at Disneyland. He always wants to leave. Well as they started he did want to leave. We started naming all the colors and trying to make it a game and that did the trick. He then began to enjoy them. And Chloe could have cared less, she just wanted to play. :) So all in all it was a fun filled day with the family.

We didn't have fireworks last night...but we're looking forward to seeing some tonight after the Rodeo! It just didn't feel like the 4th of July without firworks yesterday!

That's so fun that all the cousins got to havg out together in the pool!

Wow, that sounded like a great day! And your pictures are awesome! We had a fun day too. It's nice to relax and celebrate. We feel Dustin's pain on the nap thing! We actually have both kids back on naps! Yesterday they all 3 napped at the same time!!!! Now...THAT is Heaven!
